Santa Fe Homecoming

Save the Date: Registration opens in May 2026!

èßäÖ±²¥ College invites our alumni, families, and partners to return to the Land of Enchantment for Santa Fe Homecoming, Friday, September 18–Sunday, September 20, 2026.

The weekend includes highlights such as the Friday reception, Saturday seminar, Homecoming lunch, and the Alumni Association brunch on Sunday morning. We encourage you to plan your class reunion activities, such as dinner on Saturday, early to supplement the college’s Homecoming offerings.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Santa Fe for a weekend of celebration, camaraderie, and reflection!

Homecoming Seminar Reading

In recent years, we’ve come together to read a shared text at Homecoming. This fall, Dean Davis and the Instruction Committee have selected Henry David Thoreau’s “The Dispersion of Seeds.”

In “The Dispersion of Seeds,” Henry David Thoreau turns his naturalist’s attention to the quiet, ceaseless work by which plants renew the world. He follows the many ways seeds move across the American landscape through wind, water, animals, and human hands. The essay is both a study of ecological processes and a meditation on renewal, possibility, and the living character of place.

Seminar assignments along with their respective tutors will be announced after registration closes on Friday, September 4, 2026. We will do our best to honor tutor requests and keep classmates together.

Class Chairs

The primary function of Class Chairs is to provide personalized outreach to classmates, encourage their participation in Homecoming, and invite them to consider a reunion gift. Class Chairs also help keep the Alumni Engagement Office informed of updated contact information, including notifying the office when, tragically, a classmate has passed away, so they can be honored during the Homecoming In Memoriam event. In addition, Class Chairs are encouraged to organize off-campus social events to supplement the college’s program.

If you are interested in serving in this meaningful and important volunteer role, please contact alumni(at)sjc.edu to request the Confidentiality Agreement required to access classmates’ contact information.

A Return to Campus, A Gift to the College

Whether you are celebrating a reunion milestone or simply returning to campus for Homecoming, making a gift during this special weekend is more than a tribute to your class—it’s an investment in the future of the college and the next generation of Johnnies. This fall, join classmates and fellow alumni in making a meaningful contribution to the Program that allows others to experience the college’s time-honored traditions.

If your class is celebrating a quinquennial reunion, you’ll have a dedicated campaign page where you can add a personal message. Watch your class progress grow as Homecoming weekend approaches. And, if this is not your reunion year, your gift still strengthens the college and shows your pride in the èßäÖ±²¥ community.
