The Kristensen Memorial Lecture Series, jointly sponsored by St. John’s College and the United States Naval Academy, honors Lt. Cmdr. Erik S. Kristensen (AGI00)—an alumnus of the USNA and the St. John’s College Graduate Institute.

The Elizabeth Myers Mitchell Art Museum will reopen to the public on February 17. The museum closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the past three years has offered online-programming while the surrounding space underwent renovations. The newly renamed Mitchell Art Museum, previously known as the Mitchell Gallery, is the only art museum in Anne Arundel County accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, and one of only five to be accredited in the state of Maryland.
The bell of St. John’s College’s McDowell Hall will ring overnight Saturday into Sunday, February 5, between midnight and 1:30 a.m., as more than 100 students at the third oldest college in the country continue an annual tradition that marks a senior rite of passage.
